The City of Port Colborne is seeking an energetic and motivated candidate who would like to help drive the corporation forward in accomplishing the goals and strategic direction set by Council. If you enjoy working in finance, please consider joining our team.


Reporting to the Manager of Revenue and Taxation, the Capital Asset Supervisor will play a lead role in the development and ongoing maintenance of corporate asset management plans, related financial plans and capital budgeting.  This position will ensure accuracy of the asset and financial data within the plans and continual evaluation and updating of the plans. This position requires the ability to work well with others in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision. 


The successful candidate posses’ a University degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance complemented by 5 years of progressive experience in a municipal financial setting managing related projects and activities.  The successful candidate must be a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation and member in good standing. 


The successful candidate must have knowledge of financial planning and the Public Sector Accounting Board related to tangible capital assets. They must also have proficient skills using computerized accounting programs, excel experience, strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.


This is a full time non union position based on 35 hours per week with an annual salary of

$68,202 - $76,773 and a competitive benefit and pension package.
