Port Colborne General Hospital is a fully accredited hospital with 50 active and 30 chronic care beds. It is located in the downtown core along the Lake Erie waterfront. The hospital is staffed by one resident surgeon and 102 full and part time nurses. As a small community hospital, it provides inpatient medical and surgical care, ambulatory and emergency care. Services include; Emergency, Addiction Treatment Program, Mammography, Respite Program, Bereavement Counselling, Radiology, Physiotherapy, Ultrasound, Out Patient Services, Recreational Therapy, Occupational Services, Out Patient Diet Counselling, Palliative Care, Lifeline System Referral, Operating Room Suites, Discharge Planning, Laboratory and General Surgery.
Also available are a number of outpatient clinics including audiology, EEG, urology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic, dental and home care services.
The hospital is also the site of the regional New Port Centre, a residential facility specializing in addiction recovery.

Visiting Hours
Two (2) visitors per patient at a time are permitted.
One family member or 'significant other' may remain with a patient in the Emergency Department.
Children (siblings) must be accompanied and supervised by an adult and are considered one of the two visitors per patient.
Visiting Hours:
- Medical/Surgical Unit - 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Special Care Unit (SCU) - Open visiting hours for immediate family. No visiting is allowed between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to provide rest period for patients.
- Complex Continuing Care Unit - 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Directions to the Hospital
From Toronto & Niagara, take the Highway 406 South exit off of the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW).
Go South on Highway 406 to Highway 140, following signs to Port Colborne.
Continue on Highway 140 to Main Street (Hwy. 3), turn right, and go over the Main Street bridge.
Continue on Main Street to Steele Street.
Turn left on Steele Street and follow it until Steele Street ends at Sugarloaf Street.
You will be facing the Hospital and can turn left onto Sugarloaf and then right into the Hospital Visitors' Parking area.
